MIAMI GARDENS, Fla- The St. Thomas University Men's Soccer evens their record to 4-4-1 with a win over Southeastern University on Saturday at Bobcat field.
The Bobcats controlled play early in the match scoring two goals in the first period. #18 Jonathan Rico.
Scored both of the first period goals, one assisted by #19 Guillermo Huaman.
STU continued to battle all game. On the offensive end, STU had fifteen shots and Southeastern had five. #18 Rico and #28 Mike Njie led offense with five shots a piece. In the second half for an amazing play, Douglas Summer scored a goal on a header, assisted by #18 Huaman. On the defensive end, STU's Aaron Jones finished with two saves.
For the Southeastern Fire the offense was balanced, having five players finish with five shots. #2 Stuart Branstett scored the only goal for the Fire assisted by #10 Louis Falcon. Southeastern's goalkeeper, Bo Giles finished with two saves.
