Women's Socccer ends in draw vs. SCAD

 RICHMOND HILL, Ga. October 1st the STU Women's Soccer team faced Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in their 7th contest of the year. The game went into two overtime periods, resulting in a draw for the match with a score of 1-1. 

The two teams played great defense throughout the first half allowing no goals to be scored. The Bobcats were the first to score for the match. With five minutes into the second half,  #10 Freshman Amanda Belarmino scored the goal with the assist coming from #3 Amanda Trujillo.  While the SCAD Bee's took more shots (22-9), they were only able to complete one goal. The SCAD goal was scored by Megan Jurcak and assisted by Meike Petri. STU's Ariana Lorenzo finished with 12 saves for the game, and SCAD's Ciara Thomas finished with 3.

 

The Bobcats improved to3-3-1 overall. The Women's Soccer team returns to action on October 3rd as they travel to Daytona Beach, Fla to face Embry-Riddle.
