MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The St. Thomas Volleyball team continued their strong conference play with a win over the Warner University Royals Saturday afternoon. Betina Schimdt led the Bobcats with 14 kills and was second in digs with 12.
The Royals battled strong with STU throughout the first game, but the Bobcats proved their muster down the stretch and took the first point by a 25-23 margin. Warner again hung with St. Thomas for the first fifteend points of the second game, but STU once again pulled away with a 25-17 win. The final game showed that the Royals were outmatched as the Bobcats finished them off with an easy 25-11 win.
Mayara Gomes recorded 33 assists for the game with 6 digs.
Angie Ardiles led the team with 14 digs, while
Slavica Stefanovic totaled 9 kills, 3 aces, and 4 digs.
The Bobcats return to action on Tuesday as they head to West Palm Beach to face Palm Beach Atlantic at 7 p.m.
