Men's Soccer continue winning streak with win over Northwood

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The St. Thomas University men's soccer team got their 7th conference win on Saturday against Northwood University. The final score was 2-1.

 

STU opened the first half with a massive attack on the offensive end. Totaling in 11 shots for the first half and 3 for Northwood, the Bobcats scored both of their goals early. Senior #12 Jarion Guillermo had the first goal for STU, with the assist from#28 Mike Njie. The last goal for STU was scored by #19 Guillermo Huaman and assisted by #18 Jonathan Rico.

 

The Seahawks only goal of the game was scored by #9 Alvaro Romo and assisted by #8 Joe Hughes. No goals were scored in the second half due to tough defense by both teams. Although the game was very aggressive, the Bobcats ultimately stood victorious.

 

STU Men's soccer improve to 9-5-1 overall and 7-1 in the Sun Conference. The Bobcats continue play October 27th, 2010 at 4pm versus Ave Maria. Come cheer on the Bobcats.
