WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The STU Men's Soccer traveled to face the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Tuesday. The Bobcats gave a valiant effort, but came up short as PBA score the game-winning goal seven minutes into overtime and grabbed the 1-0 victory.
Both keepers played strong, recording 7 saves apiece for the match.
Carlos Uculmana held the Sailfish scoreless through regulation despite a total of 14 shots. St. Thomas tallied 13 shots for the match with 7 on frame, but none could find the back of the net.
STU shot leaders include
Mike Njie and Mike Hinden with two shots on goal apiece. The contest proved to be a physical one as five Bobcats were given yellow cards compare to just two for the Sailfish.
St. Thomas holds a 4-5-1 record and will go to Embry-Riddle Saturday for a 7 p.m. match.
