SUMTER, S.C. - The Lady Bobcats began the 2010-11 season at the Morris College Classic last weekend.  St. Thomas dropped their first game, 73-68 to Brenau (Ga.) but rallied in the second game over Tennessee Wesleyan, 65-64.

Nicky Montina was named to the All-Classic team for her strong play.  Montina averaged 22.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for the tournament.

Other contributors include, Dannisha Pierce averaging 12 points and 5.5 rebounds, and Maddie Cummings averaging 11.5 points for the weekend.

St. Thomas' win came over a Wesleyan team who has made it to the NAIA National Tournament 8 consecutive years.

The Bobcats will return to action Saturday, November 27 at home against Morris College.
