MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Bobcats welcomed Thomas University (Ga.) to Bobcat Field Sunday afternoon for what proved to be a physical, defensive battle. Eran Belo knocked in an own-goal while trying to defend a shot, and the goal turned out to be the game winner.
STU outshot the Nighthawks10-4 and were on the offensive for most of the game. Thomas' keeper, Andi Hoffer recorded 2 saves for the match while STU's Aaron Jones tallied 3.
The Bobcats had a great opportunity to score late, but Marco Generani's header from inside the box went wide.
The team moves to 3-4-1 on the season and return to action Saturday, October 2 vs. Southeastern at 3:30 pm. The match will be played on St. Thomas' campus.
