Miami Gardens, Fla.— STU Women's basketball get first conference lost against arch rival Florida Memorial. The final score was 57-53.
#25 Dannisha Pierce scores 15 points and 11 rebounds in the lost to the Lions on Tuesday night. The Bobcats were forced into 30 turnovers which halted much of their offense. The poor free throw shooting of STU also added to their defeat. #11 Antonella Marino got a key steal in the end of the game that could have tied the match 56-56. The Bobcats however came up short in the last minutes and were forced to foul.
FMU's #25 Dominique Butler led the Lions to victory with 15 points and 13 rebounds. The Bobcats return to action at home on January 14th ,2011 when they face Webber International University at 7 PM. Go Bobcats!
