MIAMI GARDENS, Fla- The STU women's volleyball team took on Southeastern University Saturday afternoon inside the Fernandez Center. STU lost the match in straight sets 3-0.

In the first set Southeastern got off to a fast start taking and quick early lead and did not look back the rest of the match. This has been the theme lately for STU; they looked out of sync offensively and could not get anything going. Southeasterns' Catherine Coston led the way for her team with 13 kills and chipped in defensively with 2 digs. Southeastern had 33 total team kills as opposed to STU's 30. STU also committed a team total 30 errors as opposed to Southeasterns' 14. Southeastern would go on to win the first set 25-17.

The second set was a similar story although STU would cut the deficit but it was not enough to overcome the Southeasterns' lead. They would go on to win the second set 25-21.

In the third set STU would rally to cut the lead to 3 but Southeastern would hold off STU and go on to win the match.
