David Nesbitt upped the lead to three, before the Buccaneers again cut the lead to one with ten seconds remaining. Junior guard
Zakary Hackett iced the victory with two free throws.
The charity stripe was critical for STU which shot 15-21 (71.4%) in free throws compared to 7-14 (50%) for Barry. The Bobcats defense forced 19 turnovers, including seven off steals, resulting in 23 points.
The Bobcats return home vs. College of Bahamas on Monday, December 19 at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.
