BOBCATS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The St. Thomas men's basketball won its third straight game with a 66-60 defeat of Lynn on Thursday night in Boca Raton. Sophomore guard
Kevin Hincapie led the Bobcats with 16 points, going 3-3 on three-pointers. Junior guard Jeffrey Remmington posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bobcats rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit with a 14-4 run early in the second half to take a 44-43 lead. Lynn would retake the lead until a three-pointer by Hincapie put STU back on top for good, 52-50.
With the score 54-52, Hincapie converted on two free-throws before dishing out a lay-up to senior center Everson Lacerdo to give the Bobcats a six-point lead. Success from the free throw line (14-18, FT/FTA in second half) would maintain the decisive margin for STU in the down the stretch.
