Miami Gardens – Former St. Thomas University Men's Basketball standout Cearius "King" Warren made program history on Saturday when the alumnus was drafted by Texas Legends with the 15t pick in the 2025 National Basketball Association (NBA) G-League draft.

Warren is the first player under the guidance of Head Coach Zach Moss to be drafted, and the first Men's Basketball Bobcat to be drafted.
"Words can't express how happy and proud I am for King," Moss said. "Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat. At STU we turn young men into professionals!"

In two seasons at Miami Gardens, Warren averaged 9.3 points on a .644 field goal percentage on top of 8.3 rebounds and 2.41 blocks. His 2.8 blocks per game rate during the 2023-24 campaign ranked second in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

The Bobcats opened their 2025-26 campaign on Friday against Montana State-Northern, defeating them 59-56.
