Miami Gardens, Fla.— Lady bobcats roll past Florida Memorial University in local rival competition. #02 Maddie Cummings scored 25 points in St. Thomas' win over FMU.

Freshman guard Antonella Mario totaled 8 points, 7 rebounds and a game high 6 steals. While defense specialist #05 Brittany Owens had a solid game scoring 9 points and 4 rebounds, in addition to dishing out a game high 5 assists. The defense of STU forced 36 turnovers for the Lions. The Bobcats also shot 58% from the three point line shooting 7-12 to help push them past FMU. This win will more than likely clinch 1st place for the Bobcats in the Sun Conference tournament.

STU will improve to 16-7 overall and 10-1 in the Sun Conference. Up next, Edward Waters College will travel to STU for a game on February 11th, 2011 at 7 PM. Go Bobcats!
