LAKE WALES, Fla.—The Bobcat Volleyball team was able to shake off their two game conference skid by traveling to and beating the Warner University Royals 3-2 (21-25; 18-25; 25-21; 25-17; 25-13) on Friday night.
Coach Sifontes' team showed resilience coming back from two sets down rallying to win the final three sets on their way to a crucial conference victory. Leading the way for the Bobcats was senior setter Mayara Gomes posting a triple-double with 12 kills, 25 assists and 10 digs.
Freshman Linette Perez, a local product, chipped in with a double-double leading the squad with 26 assists and adding 10 digs, while Nicole McInnis continued her outstanding season leading the team with 13 kills, 15 digs and three blocks.
The Bobcats will return to action Saturday afternoon as they continue their road trip with a stop in Babson Park to take on Webber International University.
