STU EXPLODES IN 2ND HALF TO WIN 10TH STRAIGHT

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla- The St. Thomas University men's basketball team defeated the Warner University Royals, 84-70, on Saturday night to extend its win streak to 10 games. 
 
David Nesbitt (25 points) and Kevin Hincapie (24 points) combined for 49 of STU's 84 points in the win.  Kodahmus Llongbey and Dylan O'Sullivan each chipped in with nine points as well.
 
The Bobcats trailed by eight points, 38-30 at intermission, but were superb in the second half outscoring the Royals, 52-34.
 
St. Thomas improved to 11-6 overall and 4-1 in The Sun Conference.  Warner, the nation's 17th ranked team entering the contest, fell to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference.  STU will look to extend its win streak to 11 games as host to No. 15 Southeastern in another game at on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.
