MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The St. Thomas men's basketball team won its school record 14
th consecutive game, 83-77, over Johnson & Wales Monday night in North Miami. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 15-6 overall and 8-1 in the Sun Conference.
At Johnson & Wales, the Bobcats were once again led by senior forward
David Nesbitt who scored 26 points on 9-of-10 shooting. Sophomore guard
Kevin Hincapie scored 14 points and junior forward
Chuck Sanders added 11 points off the bench.
In the latest national NAIA DII rankings released just before Monday's game at Johnson & Wales, St. Thomas moved up two spots to No. 14. On Thursday night, the Bobcats will host No. 1 Northwood at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Center in a battle for the lead in the Sun Conference.
