Jhonathan Rico's hat trick led an incredible four-goal comeback at SCAD

INCREDIBLE COMEBACK

Box Score 1 MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The St. Thomas men's soccer team staged an incredible come-from-behind win on Friday night at SCAD in Savannah, Ga.  The Bobcats, who trailed 3-0 in the second half, scored four consecutive goals in 32 minutes en route to the victory.  Senior Jhonathan Rico scored three of STU's four goals to register a hat trick, to go along with a goal by Seba Lara.
 
At the 53:12 mark, eight minutes into the second half, SCAD scored to put the Bobcats in a 3-0 hole.  Forty four seconds later, Rico scored off an assist by Junior Montaya to make the score 3-1.  Rico would score again in the 75th minute, followed by Lara's game-tying goal in the 80th minute.  With time running out and the score tied at 3-3, Rico netted the game winner with 4:02 left to play to complete the four-goal comeback.
 
On Sunday, The Bobcats returned to action with another conference road game at Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga.  The Bobcats lost the game 3-1 with the lone STU goal by Rico off an assist by Olando Lawrence.
 
The four goals on the weekend gave Rico nine goals this season and 35 goals in his St. Thomas career.
 
St. Thomas (6-3-1 overall, 4-1 conference) returns to action with a Sun Conference matchup at Southeastern in Lakeland, Fla. on Thursday at 4 p.m.
