th ranked Bobcats (19-5, 9-1) defeated Warner (11-13, 5-5), 77-40, Friday night at the Fernandez Family Center. Senior forward
Nickerline Montina led all scorers with 26 points and junior forward
Dannisha Pierce had a game-high 11 rebounds.
St. Thomas strengthened its lead in the Sun Conference with a decisive win where they outshot Warner 47% to 21%. Montina led the way shooting 10-of-17 from the field en route to her sixth game scoring 20 or more points.
The Bobcats opened the game with a three-pointer by senior guard
Maddie Cummings and never trailed to the Royals, leading most of the game by double-digits.
Point guard
Shanika Brooks had 13 points, her highest total as a Bobcat. Junior
Constina Cousins led bench players with 10 points.
The Bobcats also dominated on the boards out-rebounding the Royals, 50-25 led by Pierce's 11 rebounds and eight rebounds by Cousins. Montina, Cummings, and
Jasmin Sakers each had six rebounds as well.
The Bobcats return to action Saturday after a quick rest to play Webber International. Game time is 2 p.m. at the Fernandez Center.
