MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The championship final for The Sun Conference will be determined on Saturday as St. Thomas faces Ave Maria at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Fernandez Family Center.

St. Thomas defeated Warner, 74-49, in the first semifinal played Friday. Junior forward Constina Cousins,a second-team All-Conference led all scoreres with 22 points.  Sophomore forward Dannisha Pierce, the 2012 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  In total, all five Bobcat starters scored in double figures as Maddie Cummings scored 14 points, Nickerline Montina scored 13 points, and Shanika Brooks added 11.

In the second semifinal, Ave Maria defeated Northwood 65-49.
