Dannisha Pierce scored a season-high 25 points to lead the St. Thomas women's basketball team to a 64-50 win over Johnson & Wales, Saturday at the Fernandez Center. With the win, the 16
th ranked Bobcats improved to 18-5 overall and 8-1 in The Sun Conference.
Pierce scored over 20 points for the fourth time in the last nine game. Her production came on 11-of-17 field goal shooting and 3-of-5 shooting from the line. She also registered a six steals, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Maddie Cummings had 18 points and junior forward
Constina Cousins had 12 points along with eight rebounds. Sophomore forward
Jasmin Sakers pulled down eight rebounds of her own including five on the offensive glass.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 13-2 lead to open the game and led by as many as 17 points late in the first half. The Wildcats narrorwed the lead to nine points early in the second half before an 11-0 Bobcat run stretched the lead to 20 points. STU never looked back from there as they swept the season series against crosstown rival Johnson & Wales.
Next up for the Bobcats is another home game vs. Warner on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Center.
