MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The St. Thomas men's soccer team continued conference play with a 3-0 road victory at Webber International.   The win improved the Bobcats to 2-0 in The Sun Conference and to 3-2-1 overall.  In the win, Jhonathan Rico scored two goals, the 29th and 30th of his St. Thomas career to move into fourth place in career goals scored.

Rico scored the first two of STU's three goals beginning with a goal in the 21st minute off a Olando Lawrence assist to give the Bobcats a lead it would never relinquish.  The score would remain tied until the 68th minute when Rico would strike again for his fourth goal of the season and the 30th of his St. Thomas career.

Goalkeeper Lyle Howe had five saves to register his second shutout of the season.  Last week, Howe was named The Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week after shutting out Northwood.

The Bobcats outshot the Warriors 21-7, including 12-4 in shots on goal.   In the first half, STU particularly dominated offensively with a 13-2 advantage in shots and a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.

St. Thomas returns to action with a key road conference match up at Embry-Riddle on Wednesday at 7 p.m.  Live video will be available for the St. Thomas – Embry-Riddle game by logging on http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/erau.portal?mode=link#
