STU TAKES CARE OF WARRIORS IN STRAIGHT SETS

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The St. Thomas Women's Volleyball team swept Webber International 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 on Friday night at the Fernandez Family Center. WIth the win, the Bobcats improved to 5-2 in Sun Conference play and 10-11 overall. The Warriors fell to 2-4 in league play and 11-11 overall.

Marisa Markus led the Bobcats with 15 kills to go along with four digs. Senior Nicole McInnis and Mary Bowers each added eight kills. Setter Dana Nowaczyk led with 37 assists. In the three-set match, the Bobcats had six service aces with McInnis and Nowacyk each recording two aces. STU also had ten blocks with Bowers leading the way with three blocks.

The Bobcats return to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host Webber International at 2 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.
