14TH RANKED BOBCATS UPSET BY TALLADEGA

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - 14th ranked St. Thomas (3-1) was upset by Talladega (8-1), 79-73, Monday night at the Fernandez Family Center. Trailing most of the game, the Bobcats cut the lead to two points on a layup by Davorn Bryant with 1:44 to play. Talladega would pull away, scoring on two fast breaks and making free throws down the stretch.

Talladega's Elijah Jones led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting. STU was led by senior center Demonte' Simpson's 18 points and nine rebounds. Seniors Demetris Allen (13 points) and Kevin Hincapie (12 points) also scored in double figures.

St. Thomas returns to action with a conference road game at crosstown rival Johnson & Wales on Tuesday, December 10 in North Miami.
