Demonte' Simpson had a big night for the Bobcats scoring a season-high 20 points and seven rebounds.
The two teams traded the lead for the majority of the first half, until Midland got hot with five minutes left and opened up a nine point lead. The Warriors Galen Gullie made five three's in route to 15 first half point. Simpson countered him with 14 points in the first half on 6-8 shooting.
James Vice and
Chuckie Becton added seven and six points respectively. When the first half whistle blew the Bobcats found themselves down 30-39.
The second half proved to be very difficult for the Bobcats. The Warriors went on a 10-0 run before the Bobcats scored their first basket of the second half. Simpson once again led the way for STU in the second frame. He scored six points and grabbed five boards, while Vice scored four points. In the end St. Thomas could not get on track losing 48-60.
