Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The St. Thomas women's basketball team won its 20th game of the season with a 71-63 win over Northwood Friday night in West Palm Beach.  The Bobcats reached the 20-win mark for the fifth consecutive season and this year reached 20 wins sooner than any team in school history.

The Bobcats improved to 8-0 in the Sun Conference and improved their record in road games to 7-0.

Berna Miranda and Constina Cousins led the Bobcats, each with 14 points.  Jasmin Sakers scored 12 points to go along with seven rebounds. Dannisha Pierce scored 11 points and had seven boards.  Danielle Ciccarone led STU with four assists to go along with nine points, six rebounds and two steals. 

The game remained tight through much of the first half with the Bobcats trailing 18-17 with 7:25 to go before intermission.  The Bobcats would outscore the Seahawks 18-7 for the rest of the first half and take an 11-point lead into the locker room.  In the second half, STU kept a double-digit lead most of the way with its biggest lead (22 pts) coming with 6:23 to go.  Northwood made a modest run late in the game, but it was too little, too late for the Seahawks who fell to the Bobcats for the second time this season.
