MOBILE, Ala. - In one of the biggest wins under Head Coach Michelle Smith, the St. Thomas women's soccer team went on the road and defeated seventh ranked University of Mobile 1-0 on Saturday night. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 2-0 to open the 2013 season.

Melony Poviones placed a free kick in an ideal position for senior
Sara Mira to finish with a game-winning goal in the 85th minute to break a scoreless deadlock.
Senior Ariana Lozano recorded he shutout in goal.
It was Mira's third goal of the season having also scored two goals on Friday in a 3-1 win over Truett-McConnell. Poviones now has three points on the year, having also scored a goal in Friday's season opener.
The Bobcats return home on Sunday, then return to action on Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. Thomas University.
