MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The St. Thomas University Women's Volleyball team returned to campus Saturday after sweeping two conference opponents on the road to improve its Sun Conference record to 4-2. Â On Friday night, St. Thomas traveled to West Palm Beach and defeated Northwood 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-17). Â The following afternoon, the Bobcats took care of business in Soutwest Floirda with another straight-set 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 26-23) victory over Ave Maria.
At Northwood, STU won every set by at least eight points dominating the match in all phases with Marisa Marcus leading the charge with nine kills, seven digs and two service aces. Freshman setter Dana Nowacyk registered a game-high 33 assists in the win.
In the win at Ave Maria, the Bobcats were led in kills by Markus (13 kills) and
Adrienne Moreno (10 kills). Â Markus also contributed with 15 digs and a service ace, while had five blocks. Nowacyk recorded 33 assists to go along with nine kills and four blocks. Â
Jordan Wiese led STU with 18 digs.
STU returns to action with a home conference matchup with Webber International on Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.   Â
