CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – 24th ranked St. Thomas (0-2) lost a nail-biter at no. 19 (NAIA DI) Campbellsville (2-0) 67-65.
Chuckie Becton pulled down an offensive rebound and scored a put-back basket to give the Bobcats the lead with 1:20 to play. Campbellsville hit a three-pointer with 11 seconds left for the game-winner.
On Friday night in their season opener, the Bobcats fell to host Cumberlands 66-52.
Lorel Beckford led the Bobcats with 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss.
St. Thomas returns to action on Friday in neutral-site match up vs. Morris College (S.C.) to be played on the Johnson & Wales campus in North Miami. Tip off is set for 3 p.m.
