MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Embry-Riddle defeated St. Thomas in straight sets 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 in the final of The Sun Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Fernandez Family Center. With the win, Embry-Riddle receives an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.

ERAU was led by a strong overall game by setter Tamires Ferreira who registered 26 assists, nine digs, five kills, four service aces and a block. Evelina Abdurakhmanova and Cheye-Anne Savage each recorded 12 kills to fuel the attack for the Eagles.

St. Thomas was led by freshman
Carly Durr who recorded five kills to go along with five digs and a block. Setter
Dana Nowaczyk registered 36 assists, while
Marisa Markus added 10 kills and six digs.
