STU TAKES CARE OF THOMAS, REMAINS IN FIRST PLACE

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - St. Thomas remained in first place in The Sun Conference after a 79-58 win over Thomas (Ga.) Saturday afternoon at the Fernandez Family Center. The Bobcats were led by junior Antishia Wright who scored 14 points and dished out a game-high seven assists. Junior Claudia Martin (Miami Senior HS) recorded a double-double with a game-high ten rebounds and 13 points.

The Bobcats out-rebounded the Nighthawks 39-28. In addition to Martin's double-digit rebounding effort, Daniella Ciccarone (9), Wright (8) and Jessika Montalvo all had big days on the boards.

With the win, the Bobcats improved to a league best 8-2 record in Sun Conference play. STU returns to action vs. Florida Memorial on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Fernandez Family Center.
