th ranked St. Thomas (1-1) suffered its first setback of the season, losing by the score of 3-0 to No. 7 Davenport (Mich.) in a neutral site game at Arrigo-Vecellio Field in West Palm Beach, Fla. Davenport (1-0) opened its season on a strong note, outscoring the Bobcats 2-0 in the first half.
Davenport was led by Shameeka Fishley, who scored consecutive goals four minutes apart. Her first came in the 35th minute off Tam Grzybowski's assist, followed by a finish off a breakaway that gave the Panthers a 2-0 lead.
