BOBCATS COME UP SHORT IN OVERTIME

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - St. Thomas (0-8-0) lost its conference opener to Warner (3-3-0), 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday afternoon at Bobcat Field.

St. Thomas was first on the board when Mikhail Weatherly found Carlos Cruz for the goal in the 14th minute.  Weatherly then notched himself a goal when Andres Ruiz found him in the 34th minute, giving the Bobcats the 2-0 lead.  Midway through the second half, Warner battled back scoring goals two minutes apart.  Anthony Lopez scored in the 72nd minute to reduce the Bobcats lead to one.  In the 74th minute, Bruno da Silva tied the match off a penalty kick.  The score remained tied at the end of regulation, sending the match to sudden-death overtime.  Three minutes into overtime, Bruno da Silva scored his second goal securing the victory for Warner.

Bobcats return to action on September 27 at 3:30 p.m. versus Webber International at Warrior's Field in Babson Park, Fla.
