BOBCATS #2 SEED AT SUN CONFERENCE MEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT

LAKELAND, Fla. - The 2015 Sun Conference Men's Soccer Tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 3 with two quarterfinal matches featuring the third through six seeds. The winners of Tuesday's games will advance to Southeastern University for the semifinals and finals. The semis and finals are slated for Nov. 7 and Nov.8.  St. Thomas, which earned a bye as the tournament's no. 2 seed, will play in the semifinals in Lakeland, Fla. on Saturday, November 7 against the winner of the Thomas vs. Florida Memorial quarterfinal.

The 2015 regular season champion, Southeastern will be the top seed in the tournament following an 8-1 record in league play. The Fire captured their first Sun Conference title in school history, and begins tournament play winners of seven straight while outscoring opponents 19-1 in this stretch.

The Fire is led by Pedro Ivodias with seven goals while Gerritson Craane has four. Colby Turner and Jorge Navarrete have combined for seven shutouts in goal.

St. Thomas University will be the second seed in the tournament after their 7-2 record in league play. The Bobcats enter winners of five of their last games. They are led by Kris Wilkinson with five goals.

Thomas University is the third in the tournament after going 6-3 in league play. The Night Hawks have netted 37 goals while allowing 20 this season.  In conference play, TU has outscored opponents 19-to-13. Severin Abt leads the way in goals (9) while Lyle Gifford leads Thomas in assists (7).  In goal, freshman Ben McFarlane-Barnes has collected 55 saves.

Johnson & Wales is the fourth seed after the tiebreaker with a 5-4 mark in conference. The Wildcats are led by Pedro Codo with nine goals.  Keiser is the fifth seed after the Seahawks went 5-4 in conference play. The Seahawks are led by Shoval Failer and Adil Iich with five goals apiece. Florida Memorial rounds it out as the sixth seed after going 5-4 in league play.
