DILLON, Mont., - St. Thomas (0-4, 0-0 TSC) women's basketball team faces its second loss to Montana-Western 49-82 in the final game in its road trip to Montana.
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan led the Bobcats in scoring with 10 points. Closest behind her were teammates
Lacey Houston (8 points) and
Jamesha Willis with an additional 8 points.
To start the first quarter the Bobcats would find themselves trading points evenly with the Bulldogs. It wasn't until the last three minutes of the first quarter when the Bulldogs pulled away with 10 straight points. The Bobcats would find themselves trailing 16-23, something that would end up in being the closest quarterly margin for the rest of the game. During the second quarter Montana-Western would continue to push pace as they lead 30-43. Headed into the third quarter, the Bobcats could not seem to find a helping solution. Recording 12 turnovers and scoring all but only two points, the Bulldogs with stretch the lead 32-65 to end the quarter. Although matching the Bulldogs for points in the fourth quarter 17-17, St. Thomas could not impose enough offensively to comeback from its third quarter deficit.
Up next the Bobcats are scheduled an exhibition followed by a home game against Taylor University. Tip-off is set for 6 P.M. E.T. at The Fernandez Family Center Saturday, November 14th.
