MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Tim Sada scored 23 points on five three-pointers as St. Thomas (6-4) defeated the University of Virgin Islands (0-1) 92-70 at The Athletes Meals Classic held Tuesday at the Fernandez Family Center.

In addition to Sada, Michael Walker (17 points) and James Vice (13 points) also scored in double figures for the Bobcats. 

UVI was led by John Nunnally who scored 37 points, more than half of his team's offensive output.

The Bobcats controlled the game throughout, never trailing.  STU led 41-26 at the half, then scored 51 points in the second half.  STU shot well from the field (58%) and made nine of 20 (45%) three-point attempts.

St. Thomas returns to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. vs. Siena Heights (Mich.) as The Athletes Meals Classic continues at the Fernandez Family Center.
