MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - Keiser (5-0, 1-0 TSC) defeated St. Thomas (3-4, 0-1 TSC) 67-62 in The Sun Conference opener for the Bobcats Saturday evening at the Fernandez Family Center.
Keiser outscored St. Thomas 10-5 in the overtime period after a late KU bucket tied the the game 57-57 at the end of regulation.
KU had five players score in double figures led by Deion McClenton who registered a game-high 23 points and 17 rebounds.
STU was led by
Stefan Brown who came off the bench to record 11 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks.
Miguel Martin was a rebound away from a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds to go along with three steals. Â
Also scoring in double figures for the Bobcats was
James Vice who scored 13 points before fouling out in overtime and
Michael Walker who scored 11 points before leaving the game with an injury in overtime.
The Bobcats return to action at the Daytona Beach Shootout Dec. 19-20.
