MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (16-10, TSC 11-6) inked out a close victory against a spirited Florida Memorial (3-22, TSC 2-14), surviving for the 66-65 victory. It was a much-needed victory for the Bobcats after their tough outing at Embry-Riddle. Furthermore, with this victory, the Bobcats clinched the number two seed for the upcoming Sun Conference Tournament.
Michael Walker led all scorers with 21 points to go along with five rebounds.Â
Chuckie Becton had a solid performance with 11 points and six rebounds.Â
Tim Sada also scored 11 points, nine of which were scored from behind the three-point arc.
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, February 21, for their regular season finale. The Bobcats will look to end their season on a high note when they take on Webber International at the Fernandez Family Center. The Bobcats were previously defeated by Webber 80-73 on January 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 P.M. local time.
