MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (0-2) falls to Miami Dade in a exhibition doubleheader at Bobcat Field Wednesday afternoon. In the first game, the Lady Sharks took down the Bobcats 9-0 and in game two repeated their scoring ways by defeating STU 6-0.
Christina Horton was able to aid the Bobcats as best she could as she posted hits in both games for the day.

In game one, the Lady Sharks jumped ahead early as they scored off an Erin Sundook homer to start the first. She would again homer in the third, with the Lady Sharks continuing their attack in the fourth with three runs and the sixth with four. The run rule came into affect for the game, as the Bobcats couldn't close the deficit to less than eight to end the sixth.

On the mound
Amanda Furar pitched the full game for STU, as she faced off against Miami Dade's Milena Calixto, who also went the distance. Furar was able to record a strikeout on the day, along with a hit of her own.
Jessica Matias was also able to post two hits in game 1, as Horton followed up in game one with a hit as well.

In game two,
Carson Catasus would pitch for the Bobcats and face off against Greta Longagnani who started on the mound for the Lady Sharks. The game was tightknit until a three run third inning opened the Lady Sharks lead and was followed by three more runs in the following inning, securing their second exhibition victory.

In this game three Bobcats were able to get on base from their hitting. Horton once again continued her streak, as pitcher Catasus tacked on a hit of her own, followed by a hit from catcher
Kristen Scott.

The Bobcats head to Clermont, Fla to play five games on their spring break trip, from March 2 to the 6.Â
