MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – St. Thomas (31-12) defeats Division II Barry University (15-20) in night game at Fienbloom Field. Ben Ancheff picks up his first win of the season after starting the game with two scoreless innings pitched. Cesar Ramirez and Michael Centeno both post homers on the night game as well for the Bobcats.
 
In Miami Shores, STU stated their dominance, as they maintained a lead throughout the game. They first scored and took the lead in the second after a Ramirez RBI groundout and never looked back. After Centeno two-run homer and Ramirez solo shot, the Bobcats were able to maintain their lead and secure the victory on the night.
 
Eric Santamaria and Bryan Bermudez also had strong outings, both posting multi-hit games. On the mound, along with Ancheff, Andrew Denis, Alex Viera, Alex Hernandez, Alex Sarmiento, Brandon Valentin and Chris Rodriguez all made apperances for STU. Rodriguez picked up his ninth save of the season, pitching the final inning of the game with a two-run lead.
 
The Bobcats head to Ave Maria this weekend for a three-game series against the Gyrenes. First pitch of the Friday game is set for 4 p.m.
