Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - St. Thomas (7-7, 6-1 TSC) won its fourth straight conference game by defeating Keiser (11-10, 4-4 TSC) 44-38 Saturday afternoon in West Palm Beach.
Leading all scorers for the Bobcats was Katie Rienas who scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting and went 3-of-8 from three-point range. Following Rienas's lead were teammates Jamesha Willis (8 points), Supavadee Kunchuan (6 points), and Bianca Partlow (6 points). St. Thomas, started off the first quarter with a fast pace as it led Keiser by 15 points. Opening in the second, the Bobcats would continue to control the action until midway through the second quarter as Keiser closed the lead to two points heading into halftime. Â
With the start of the third quarter the Bobcats would be able to continue to hold the lead, up 30-22 headed into the final quarter. Pressing the pace and fighting to hold the lead, St. Thomas would allow the Seahawks to tie the score at 35 with 5:13 left in the fourth. Battling it out with minutes to go, Keiser would grab the lead but then give it back to St. Thomas with 2:58 remaining. The Bobcats would find some breathing room down the stretch, building a six-point lead to close out the win.
The Bobcats look to continue their win steak when they next face Sun Conference opponent Ave Maria.  Tip-off will be on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.Â
