Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. - Michael Waker (19 pts) and
Mikon Hewitt (18 pts) led St. Thomas (12-7, 6-3 TSC) to a 82-72 win over host Southeastern (14-10, 4-7 TSC) Saturday evening in Lakeland.Â
In addition to Walker and Hewitt,
James Vice (11 pts) and
Tim Sada (10 pts) also scored in double figures for the Bobcats. Â
Raheem Bowman added 9 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
STU jumped out to an 11-point lead in the game's first eight minutes, before the Fire came back to take a 38-35 lead into halftime.  The Bobcats were dominant in the second half outscoring the Fire 47-34 to take control of the game and put away the win.
STU outshot SEU 50% to 36% for the contest, including a 55% to 32% advantage in second half field goal percentage.
St. Thomas returns to action vs. Florida Memorial 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fernandez Family Center in a game originally scheduled to be played at FMU.
