FIRE EDGES STU IN FINAL SECONDS

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. –Matt Crowe hit a three-pointer with less than two seconds to play to propel  Southeastern (11-6, 1-3 TSC) to a win over St. Thomas (7-6, 1-2 TSC) 79-78 Friday night at the Fernandez Family Center. 

Raheem Bowman scored a team-high 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting and pulled down six rebounds to go along with three blocked shots.  Tim Sada scored 14 points with four three-points.  Michael Walker added 11 points.

Caleb Konieczny led the Fire with 23 points and 11 rebounds.  Larry Taylor scored 23 points, while Jake Hodges added 13.

STU led 41-37, then led by as many as 16 points in the second half.  Southeastern battled back to make it a one-point game in the final minute leading up to the game-winner.

St. Thomas returns to action on Thursday vs. Warner at 7 p.m at the Fernandez Family Center.
