Box Score

Babson Park, Fla.- St. Thomas (5-5-1, TSC 4-1) defeated Webber International (2-8-1, TSC 0-6) with a pouncing victory to go on a three game winning streak.

STU looked to continue it's dominating performances of recent weeks in this matchup against a Warriors team looking for a win.

After a scoreless first half, the Bobcats brought up the intensity, with nine of their 15 shots coming in the second half. Vinicius Carvalho came on as a sub in the 48th minute, eager to make an impact. STU grew tired of the scoreless match at hand, but a pass from Carvalho would help change the scoreline. As he ran down the right side of the pitch, he crossed the ball to an open Pablo Gill who struck the ball fiercely, with the goalie attempting to save it, but ultimately landing in the back of the net at the 63rd minute.

Gill finished with a game high six shots, five of them on goal, and Artur Sharapov with three shots, one of them on goal.

Defense played a huge role in this match up as the Bobcats completed another shut out. St. Thomas allowed no more than 12 shots in the game, with five of them on goal. All five shots were saved by Robert Barton, adding another clean sheet to his resumé.

Next up for the Bobcats is a TSC home matchup against Keiser on Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m. at the STU Soccer Field. Come out and watch the team play under the lights!
