MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial (6-5-1, 5-3-1 TSC) defeated host St. Thomas (7-6-2, 6-2-1) 2-1 in the regular season finale for both teams Tuesday night at Bobcat Field.  The loss snapped a six-match undefeated streak for the Bobcats who lost their first game since September 25th.
The Bobcats finish second in the final regular season Sun Conference standings and will receive a bye in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.Â
St. Thomas took a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute on a goal by Roni Luokkamaki, however Florida Memorial responded with back-to-back goals in the 54th and 79th minute.
The match was held on senior night as 8Â Bobcat seniors were honored before the match began.
The seniors honored were Vicente Morata, Hector Mena, Breno Ertty, Kris Wilkinson, Fabian Heinrich, Federico Moronell, Nico Sobanski, Juan Zambrano.
Next up for the Bobcats is The Sun Conference Championships tournament. The Bobcats will host the winner of the #3 vs. #6 quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at Bobcat Field.
