WALKER LEADS BOBCATS TO DOMINANT CONFERENCE OPENING W

BABSON PARK, Fla. - 15th ranked St. Thomas (5-0, 1-0 TSC) remained undefeated with a decisive 97-78 win over host Webber International (2-3, 0-1) in the Sun Conference opener for both teams.

Michael Walker II scored a season-high 33 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field including three 3-pointers.  

Kristers Zeidaks added 20 points and was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, while Timothy Sada scored 17 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting.

Mikon Hewitt scored 14 points and dished out a game-high eight assists.

Raheem Bowman recorded his third double-double of the year with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

With five Bobcats scoring in double-figures, STU's offense continued its dominance during the five-game, season-opening winning streak.  The 97 points were a season-high and bumped the Bobcats' scoring average to 88 points on the year.

On this night, St. Thomas shot 52% from the field to go along with 13-25 shooting from three-point range.

The Bobcats return to play with the conference home opener vs. Johnson & Wales 4 p.m on Saturday at the Fernandez Family Center.
