MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – In the bottom of the ninth , 
Cesar Ramirez hit a game-tying home run and 
Jack Diaz hit a walk-off RBI single to lead St. Thomas (16-10) to a dramatic 9-8 come-from-behind victory over NCAA DII Wilmington (2-7).

Trailing 8-6 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Ramirez blasted a home run that scored 
Steven Fischer and tied the game at 8-8.  
Michael Centeno then singled, followed by 
Bryan Bermudez reaching on a fielder's choice.  Diaz was called upon to pinch hit and promptly hit a single to right field to score Centeno for the game-winning run.
 
The Bobcats trailed 4-0 through 4.5 innings and scored five runs in the fifth, highlighted by a three-RBI triple by Ramirez to take a 5-4 lead.  Wilmington scored three runs in the top of the sixth to retake the lead 7-5.  Centeno hit a RBI-single in the seventh to score Fischer to cut the deficit to one run, but the Wildcats struck again with their eighth run of the game the next inning.
 
Centeno went 4-5 with an RBI and a run scored, while Ramirez finished the night 2-5 with a triple, a home run, five RBI and two runs scored.
 
Tyeler Checkley (2-0) earned the win in relief, while Brad Scull (0-2) took the loss for the Wildcats.
 
St. Thomas returns to action on Friday with a Sun Conference series at Southeastern in Lakeland, Fla.
