LAKELAND, Fla. - St. Thomas (16-18, 5-4 TSC), defeated 5-0 in game one and 4-0 in game two in double header against Southeastern (35-10, 9-0 TSC) on Sunday afternoon.
In game one the bobcats struggled offensively, accumulating only seven hits. For the Bobcats,
Amanda Penton went (2-4 H) with two singles and
Meghan Riddle went (2-3 H), also with two singles. Although the Bobcats tried generate runs, the Fire held them scoreless throughout the game while scoring runs in the second, third, fifth, and sixth innings.Â
In game two the struggles continued as the Bobcats did not catch a break offensively. Only generating one hit, the Bobcats defense held Southeastern to only two scoring innings. The Fire put two runs on the board in the bottom of the first and in the bottom of the fifth.Â
The Bobcats head back to the field Saturday, April 23rd for another conference double header against Thomas University. Game times are set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. E.T. in Thomasville Ga.
