Box Score HELENA, Mont. – St. Thomas (0-2) dropped its second game of the season with a 67-53 loss to host Carroll College (2-0) on Wednesday afternoon in Montana.

Katie Rienas led the Bobcats with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting.  Samara Auguste also scored in double figures with 13 points with much of her success coming from the free throw line where she went 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.  Keiana Brooks added nine points and swiped a game-high four steals.

In all, the Bobcats shot very well from the free throw line, going 23-of-26 for the game and 16-of-17 in the second half.  Shooting from the field was a struggle for the Bobcats however with a 21% field goal percentage that crippled STU's chances.

For the second straight game, STU fell behind early, trailing 19-6 at the end of the first quarter and 37-18 at the end of the first half.

But also for the second straight game, the Bobcats came out of the intermission firing on all cylinders, with STU outscoring CC 22-13 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 50-40 at the end of the third.  A 9-0 run sparked the Bobcat comeback with Rienas, Auguste and Brooks doing most of their damage on the free throw line.

Carroll however regained momentum in the fourth quarter to secure the 14-point win.

St. Thomas concludes its season-opening, three-game road trip on Thursday night at the University of Montana-Western at 7 p.m. MT/9 p.m. ET in Dillon, Montana.
