TIM SADA DOMINATES AS BOBCATS WIN THREE STRAIGHT

THOMASVILLE, Ga. - St. Thomas (19-7, 10-4 TSC) defeated host Thomas (13-7, 8-6 TSC) by a final score of 85-77 Saturday evening.  The Bobcats have now won nine of their last 10 games.

The Bobcats and the Night Hawks brought a close first half, one that consisted of five ties and six lead changes.

With STU leading 23-16 with 6:33 left in the first half, a 5-to-4 run kept the Bobcats in the lead, although not by much. Every time STU went on a run, TU came back answered, which proved this matchup to be a tight one.

The second half scoring was opened instantly by Thomas, and continued to roll from there. It wasn't until there was 7:25 left in the game and the score line reading 56-55, that the Bobcats bounced back and took solid control of this game. From then on, STU led by as much as 13 points, never letting the score go lower than four points.

Timothy Sada scored 19 points and Mikon Hewitt recorded 18 points to lead St. Thomas.  Armand Shoon added 13 toward the winning cause. Mikhail Rolle went a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the three-point line.

Next up for the Bobcats is a home conference game against #5 Warner on Tuesday, February 14 at 7 p.m. at the Fernandez Family Center.
