MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Host St. Thomas (13-14, 8-8 TSC) defeated Warner (13-15, 7-9 TSC) 73-62 Saturday night on Senior Night at the Fernandez Family Center.

With the win, St. Thomas clinched the right to host a Sun Conference Championship tournament game at the Fernandez Family Center on Tuesday, February 21.
The first quarter brought a scoreless first two minutes but a
Katie Rienas dagger three broke the silence. With 5:42 left on the clock, the game was tied at 4-4. The Bobcats would explode and go on an 18-to-5 scoring run, giving them a commanding 22-9 lead heading in to the second quarter.

Warner came out fighting, looking for a chance to cut the lead to bring them back in the game, but
Desanta' Franklin-Jordan brought her A-Game on senior night, recording her ninth double-double  of the season in the first half alone as the Bobcats would take a 34-30 point lead heading in to the locker room.

It didn't take long for STU to add to its lead in the third quarter, as seniors
Supavadee Kunchuan and Franklin-Jordan and
Emily May would combine for 11 Bobcat points within the first five minutes. The biggest lead of the game came in this quarter at 16 points to close out the third.

The fourth quarter was the solidifying quarter for the Bobcats as they led the whole quarter, to give the seniors their final win at home for their college basketball careers.

Desanta' Franklin Jordan led the Bobcats with 20 points and a tied career-high 18 rebounds, while Kunchuan scored a team-high 22 points.
